Why was Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) unjustly released from the WWE?

He's not really my favorite wrestler, although I do like the guy. He deserves another shot, resign him. If you give multiple chances to drug addicts and steroid abusers like Jeff Hardy and Chris Masters why can't Danielson at least have just gotten a warning or a suspension, but an outright firing? He deserves a second chance, I mean it's not like he actually killed his wife and son and committed suicide. When the hell are they going to let the dark cloud that Chris Benoit holds over the WWE go, it's been three damn years?
