Are there any Former Former Muslims or former muslims who came back to Islam?

I kind of went through a difficult time in the past and sort-of renounced my faith, but I never completely lost it. I could never deny the existence of God or the logic of Islam completely. I don't wish to explain deeply really but it was a series of factors both psychological and also due to disinformation like you mentioned yourself. But then when I started thinking and contemplating on why Islam is right I realised how stupid I was being and I returned to Islam and vowed to relearn it from the first level so that I was sure that I wasn't mixing my culture or the views of certain sects into it. Sometimes you just have to have faith and other times you have to teach yourself faith because without knowledge comes insecurity and doubt. I'm a much better and stronger person now, at least for myself. I guess the experience was worthwhile.
