A serious question for gnostic or mystic christians?

One can be a student of esoteric schools of thought and still hold a faith. This is not often the case but as you stated, you have begun to see past the literal interpretation. Take a look at the Rosicrucians, it is not a religion however they do look into hermetic and occult type schools of thought. It's quite eclectic.
