Am I going to get approved for a firearm?

I was at a NRA banquet tonight in Wisconsin and won a rifle. So I had to fill out paperwork and wait for approval. They came back and said I couldn't take the rifle cause im still under review and will take longer to check while other guys got there guns right away after check. This is my first time buying a gun (well winning a gun) so does this mean I was denied? I dont have any criminal charges as I know of. Any ideas why its takes longer for me?
