Which literary character should i choose for my literary parade?

some of the books that we read were, the scarlet letter, the gs of wrath, the great gatsby,the devil and tom walker, young goodman brown,. can i please tell me a significant character in any of those stories or others that you read, i tell me why they were the most significat character.
