There's this guy that i really like...?

so there's this guy that i really like and he might like me back but i'm not sure. today in study hall in homeroom he starts like randomly talking to me and we're both kinda nerds but he was reading a science magazine (science is our homeroom) and he goes "These scientists found out how many seconds it takes people to lie. they really need to get a life. or as i would say they need to get a girlfriend" and he kinda like moved a little closer to me and looked at me funny when he said that but it could have been my imagination. he comes up and talks to me a lot but he says that he hates me. does he like me?
