Harvard sent me a brochure, a three-page letter and their entire application...what do you think this means?

They send those to a lot of people. The more people who apply, the more application fees they get, the more students they can turn down and the more selective they look. Many colleges are playing this game to stay on top of the rankings. It doesn't mean you'll get in, but you might have a shot if you've got something fantastic on your resume besides high grades and test scores.
